QUICK FACTS Name: Duldul Age: About 3 Years Old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Jindo – Shiba Mix Color: White Weight: 14kg / 30.9lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was found living tethered on a one-metre chain, where I had also given birth and was caring for my puppies. Thankfully, rescuers stepped in and brought me to safety, giving me the chance to care for my little family in a more secure and comfortable environment. Now that I’ve been given a fresh start, I’m looking forward to a new chapter of my own and finding a loving forever family.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Spayed & healthy with no known health issues Completed patellar luxation surgery on both legs   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I’m Duldul! I’m a beautiful Jindo-Shiba mix with distinctive almond-shaped eyes and a thoughtful personality. I can be cautious when my environment suddenly changes or when unfamiliar people enter my world, so I’m not necessarily a dog who will show you everything about myself the moment we meet. But speak to me calmly, approach me gently, and give me a little time to understand that I’m safe, and I’m capable of settling down and opening up. Treats are one of the easiest ways to start our friendship! Even when I’m feeling shy, I’m usually willing to accept something tasty. I also respond well to gentle touch once I’m comfortable. Being picked up can still feel a little unfamiliar to me, but with a caregiver I know and trust, I’ll approach them on my own, happily accept affection, and can even be held. Once I’m comfortable, there’s a curious and surprisingly capable side to me too. I enjoy outdoor activity and like investigating what’s happening around me—I’ve even proven myself to be quite the little bug catcher! After I’ve had my outdoor time, though, I know how to switch off. I’m happy to come home, settle down, and enjoy a good, peaceful nap rather than staying constantly on the go. I’m looking for the person who will notice the small moments: accepting that first treat, relaxing under a gentle hand, choosing to approach on my own, and eventually trusting enough to be held. Give me time, consistency, and a calm place to land, and you’ll have the chance to watch a cautious little Jindo girl decide for herself that she’s finally somewhere she can feel safe.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be a little shy when I first meet someone, but I’ll happily accept treats as we get to know each other. I prefer to take a little more time to build trust before I’m comfortable being petted, and once I feel at ease, I’m also comfortable being gently picked up with an arm supporting me under my belly. I haven’t had experience with children under 13 yet, so my comfort level with younger kids is still unknown. · With Dogs: I’m friendly and social with other dogs, and I enjoy approaching both familiar and new dogs to say hello and invite them to play. I generally do well with dogs around my own size, and I tend to feel more secure and settled when I have another dog nearby, often looking to my dog friends for reassurance. If another dog challenges or provokes me, however, I may respond rather than back away, so calm and careful introductions are important when I’m meeting a new dog for the first time. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level – I enjoy spending time outdoors, but I’m also happy to settle down and relax afterward. I may pull on the leash at times, but overall, I follow my person well and respond to their guidance on walks.   TRAINING & HABITS I’m comfortable with people around my food and don’t show any food guarding toward them. Around other dogs, I’m generally fine, but I may growl if another dog approaches while I’m eating, so giving me my own space at mealtimes is best. I’m usually a quiet dog, though I may bark when I see someone unfamiliar. I’m calm and settled when I’m in a kennel I’m accustomed to doing my business outdoors, so I generally prefer outdoor potty breaks.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES I tend to be more fearful of men, so I’ll need especially patient, pressure-free introductions with unfamiliar men rather than being expected to interact before I’m ready. I’m a bit sensitive to my surroundings, including whether I have a dog friend nearby. The environment I’m in and the presence of other dogs can have a noticeable effect on how secure I feel. Because of that, understanding my body language and giving me the right setup during transitions will be particularly important. I’m a gentle dog underneath my caution—I just need people who understand that trust is something I build rather than something that should be rushed.
