My story

FOR ADOPTION in Southern Ontario: Sylvester is a 5–6 year old, 55 lb German Shepherd/Husky mix . He is fostered in Ajax, Ontario. 🐶 Sylvester at a Glance 🐾 5-6 years old, 55lbs, GSD Husky mix 🏡 Fully house-trained — zero accidents in foster care! 🛏️ Sleeps quietly on the bedroom floor 🏠 Free-roams the main floor with excellent house manners 🧸 Not destructive and doesn’t jump on people 🔇 Very quiet — his foster family has never heard him bark in the house ⏰ Comfortable being alone for up to 5 hours and counting ❤️ Extremely affectionate and loves following his people around ⚡ Medium energy and happiest when he’s active Sylvester and two other dogs were dumped at a local shelter. All three were extremely emaciated and had clearly been neglected. Thankfully, they are now safe in foster care. We were elated to see what an absolute sweetheart Sylvester really is! He is very affectionate. When his people are home, Sylvester likes to be close by and will happily follow them around the house before curling up beside them. When they leave, he settles down by the front door and patiently waits for them to come home. He is friendly when visitors arrive but isn’t overly demanding of their attention. Overall, he is a quiet, well-mannered boy who is settling beautifully into home life. Sylvester would love a family that enjoys getting out and about. Walks, adventures, enrichment and simply being part of the family are right up his alley. His new family should be prepared to continue working with him on leash skills, recall and building his confidence with independence. Sylvester has already had his television debut, too!
