No apartments, my friend Johnnie likes to talk. Cookie’s update (Oct 15) – If I were a human, you’d probably describe me as a cautious little girl who falls in love quickly, especially when someone tells me what a good girl I am! I love knowing when I’ve done something right, and a little praise goes a very long way in winning my heart. I’m now enjoying a daily 3 km walk, and I absolutely love getting out and exploring the world! When it comes to other canines, I prefer to stay in my own lane and watch them go by. I’m perfectly happy with my partner, Johnnie, and I’m not particularly interested in making new doggy friends. I might go in for a quick hello, but I’ll soon be back by my person’s side, where I’m happiest. Meeting new people while out on walks isn’t really my thing, either. I prefer to stick with the people I know and feel comfortable with. I’m a quiet little companion who won’t make a fuss—I’ll happily stay right beside you while you finish chatting. I like to think I’m one of the best-mannered little dogs around. I mind my own business, stay in my own lane, and enjoy the world at my own pace! At home, I love spending time with my partner Johnnie and my favourite people. Talk to me, tell me how much you adore me, and you’ll have one very happy little girl by your side! My foster Mom says I’m guaranteed to bring plenty of snuggles to my forever family. So, if you’re looking for a sweet little companion to shower with affection and fill your days with cuddles, I might just be your perfect match! There’s one very important thing you should know, though: I need to be adopted with my partner, Johnnie! We make the perfect duo, and I wouldn’t want to imagine my forever home without him by my side. And now, a few words from me:      Did you notice my ears? One flops down while the other stands up—what’s up with that? I’m not quite sure, but I do know one thing for sure: you’ll always be able to pick me out of a crowd of Yorkies! My one-of-a-kind ears are just another little thing that makes me uniquely me. I’ve only ever known life sharing it with another dog, and that special dog is my companion, Johnnie. We are a bonded pair and need to be adopted together. I’m the more cautious one, and I look to Johnnie, my brave little companion, for confidence. We may have different personalities, but one thing is certain—we truly love each other and need each other. When the day winds down, there’s nothing better than curling up right beside my little friend and settling in for a cozy night’s sleep. Snuggling together is definitely the best part of my day! We both love people, too! Whenever we get the chance, we’re all over our foster parents, soaking up all the love, attention, and affection we can get. We simply love being close to our people and being part of whatever they’re doing. When we meet new people while out on our walks, I can be a little more cautious at first. I may need a little extra time to feel comfortable with someone I don’t know well. I also love going for walks, and my foster mom is so proud of how well I walk on a leash. It’s almost as if I was born to do this! And then there are toys! I absolutely love them. I’m always checking out the toy basket to see which toy needs to be played with next. Even though I’m a young dog, I have wonderful manners. I don’t get into things I shouldn’t, and I know how to behave like a very good little girl. I truly believe I was put on this earth to love and be loved. Now I’m searching for a forever family who will cherish me, keep me safe, and include me in all those little everyday moments that make life so special. Cookie looks forward to going out for a walk every day.  She may be little but she trots along as if the world belongs to her.  She has great manners in meeting other canines while out walking. She’s a happy, lovable little character with a zest for life, a talent for making people smile, and a heart overflowing with love. Cookie is the kind of companion who will happily follow you from room to room, keep you company throughout the day, and fill your life with affection.
