My story

Thank you for your interest in adopting a cat or dog. We are open for walk in visitors 10am-5pm 7 days a week. NO Appointments needed. Could there possibly be a cuter little face than Homer’s? We certainly don’t think so! This adorable Pekingese boy is as sweet and cuddly as they come, with a playful personality that will keep you smiling. Homer loves being around his people and is always happy to soak up some affection. He’s a fun-loving little guy who enjoys playtime just as much as he enjoys curling up for cuddles. Basically, Homer is the best of both worlds—a playful companion and a professional snuggler! Like many Pekingese, Homer does have some special care needs that his future family should understand. Because he is a brachycephalic (short-nosed) breed, he can overheat much more easily than dogs with longer snouts. His adopter will need to be mindful of his activity level, avoid pushing him too hard, and take extra precautions in warm or hot weather. He’ll do best with someone who understands his limits and is committed to keeping him comfortable and safe. Homer will also need regular grooming to keep his beautiful coat healthy and comfortable. His future family should be prepared to make grooming a regular part of his care routine.
