My story

Meet Koda Koda was found abandoned in the hills outside a small town alongside his brother, Toby. The two little dogs had clearly been through more than any puppy should, but now Koda is safe and beginning his journey toward learning that people can be kind. Koda is the quieter, more reserved brother. He is still a little shy in new situations and needs time, patience, and a gentle approach to feel comfortable. But behind those cautious eyes is a sweet young dog who deserves the chance to relax, trust, and discover the joy of having a family of his own. We believe Koda may be a Great Pyrenees–Poodle mix and expect him to grow into a medium-sized dog. He is looking for a calm, loving home—or possibly a foster home—with people who understand that the best relationships are built at his pace. A secure routine, kind encouragement, and plenty of reassurance will help Koda’s personality continue to bloom. Koda does not need someone to “fix” him. He needs someone willing to see his potential, celebrate the small victories, and offer him the safety he was denied when he was abandoned. Watching a shy dog begin to trust, seek affection, and realize he belongs is one of the most rewarding experiences there is. If you have a patient heart and a quiet place in your home, Koda may be the gentle soul waiting to become your most loyal companion.
