My story

MEET TOFY — OUR SWEET LITTLE LOVEBUG! Please meet TOFY, a very sweet little girl who has just arrived from Mexico and is now ready to find her forever family. Tofy is approximately 3 years old and weighs 10lbs. We believe she is a mix of Papillon and long-haired Chihuahua — whatever the mix, she definitely got the best personality traits! She was a champ when seeing our Vet. Tofy is being fostered in Cobourg. Her foster mom absolutely adores her and says Tofy is one of the best dogs she has ever fostered — in fact, she says Tofy is perfect! And it’s easy to see why. Tofy is: Wonderful with people, including children Extremely cuddly and affectionate Friendly with everyone she meets A true Velcro dog who loves being close to her people Great with her two foster dog siblings Great in the car Doing very well with her house training, with only one or two accidents while adjusting to her new surroundings Enjoying walks and doing quite well walking on a leash attached to her harness Currently doesn’t seem to be much of a barker A medium-activity girl who enjoys getting out and about but is definitely not a runner Tofy loves attention and simply wants to be with her people. What kind of home would be best for Tofy? Tofy would do best in a home where someone is around most of the time. We think she would absolutely love a home with a fenced backyard where she can enjoy some outdoor time. She would be happy to have a dog sibling and may also do well with a cat, although another pet isn't necessarily required. What she really wants is a family who will include her in their lives and give her all the love and attention she deserves. Tofy would make a wonderful family dog. We can picture her being adored by children who would love to dote on her — and she is equally happy soaking up attention from adults. She just loves being with her people!
