My story

QUICK FACTS Name: Dongji Age: 6 months old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Jindo Spitz Mix Color: Brown with black muzzle Weight: 6kg / 13.2lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from a crowded city pound where I had been placed on the euthanasia list simply because there was no longer enough space. Thankfully, rescuers found me in time and brought me to safety, giving me the second chance at life I desperately needed. Those uncertain days are behind me now, and I’m ready to start a brand new chapter with a forever family who will love and cherish me for the rest of my life.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY I’m still a young, adorable puppy with the cutest oversized ears that look almost too big for my little head! I’m currently going through my teething stage as my adult teeth grow in, so I still have plenty of puppy growing and learning ahead of me. With my long model legs, slim build, and striking features, I look a little like a mini Belgian Malinois. The volunteers and staff sometimes wonder if I might even have a little Malinois somewhere in my mix! Looks aside, I’m an incredibly friendly boy who loves both people and dogs. The volunteers and staff are always talking about how cute I am, and if they had their way, they’d probably carry me around everywhere!   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m super friendly with people and absolutely love receiving attention and affection! Even when we’re meeting for the very first time, I may happily roll over and show you my belly for some extra belly rubs. I’m also comfortable being picked up and held. I’m a trusting, affectionate boy who loves making new human friends! · With Dogs: I’m more of a people’s pup and tend to be pretty independent around my dog friends. I get along well with the other dogs at the care facility, but I usually prefer doing my own thing rather than seeking them out for playtime. I also have great social awareness and prefer to avoid conflict. Even if another dog is being pushy, I’ll simply walk away and give them space. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring, and having fun, but once I’ve had my activity and excitement, I’m more than happy to come inside and relax comfortably indoors.   TRAINING & HABITS I’m still learning my leash manners, but I love being close to people and do my best to follow my handler’s guidance. With continued practice and encouragement, I’m sure I’ll keep improving! I have good manners around food and don’t guard my meals or treats from either people or other dogs. I may bark occasionally, but I settle down quickly and already know how to rest calmly in my kennel. For potty habits, I currently go both indoors using pee pads and outdoors.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES My forever family is going to be very lucky to have me! I’m a cheerful, bright little boy with so much potential and a wonderfully gentle personality. One look at me and you might find yourself wondering what breeds make up my adorable little face. I’m most likely a Mini Jindo mix, with my own unique look and charm! For a young puppy, I’m surprisingly calm and easygoing. If you’re looking for a gentle companion who enjoys staying close without being constantly on the go, I might be the perfect match. I love following my people around, soaking up attention, and looking to them for comfort and reassurance.
