Brooks (20260929-03)

My story

Brooks is one of Shelby's ten adorable puppies, and he has already come a long way from the beginning of his story. His mama, Shelby, was rescued from a culvert just four days before giving birth to her ten babies. Since then, Brooks and his siblings have been raised together in a loving foster home where they have been safe, cared for and surrounded by plenty of puppy companionship. Brooks is a curious, playful boy who dives into the wrestling pile with his brothers and still melts when you scoop him up. He loves attention and will trade a burst of puppy chaos for a good snuggle every time. He has been around young and older children and enjoys his interactions with them. He is also comfortable around both large and small dogs and has grown up as part of a very busy litter. Because Brooks is still very young, there is lots he hasn't experienced yet. He has not been out in public or started house, crate or leash training. His foster family is beginning to introduce him to new experiences, but his forever family will need to continue building on that foundation with patience, consistency and plenty of positive socialization. Brooks is ready to leave his littermates behind and start the next exciting chapter of his life - growing into the wonderful dog he is meant to be with a family who will love, guide and cherish him. **adopters must be able to pick up in Niagara Falls, NY** Neck size (for collar): Approx. 11" Chest circumference (for harness): TBD Height (from top of head): Approx. 13" Length (from nose to base of tail): Approx. 18" Crate size recommended: TBD Good with adults: Yes Good with kids: Yes, has been around both young and older children Good with other dogs: Yes, does well with both large and small dogs, male and female Good with cats: Unknown House trained: No, too young and has never been outside Crate trained: No, crate training has not yet started Energy level: Medium Can be handled/touched: Yes Barker: Unknown Flight risk: Unknown Food aggressive: No concerns reported Current food: Puppy food Walks on leash: No, leash training has not yet started Leash reactive to people or dogs: Unknown Rides well in car: Unknown Destructive: Typical puppy behaviour; will need appropriate toys and supervision Needs a home with a yard: Yes Needs a home with another dog: No Can live in an apartment: No Please visit our website niagaradogrescue.com to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs.
