Ellie

My story

We adopted Ellie from a shelter in 2020, and she has been such a sweet and lovable part of our family ever since. At 6 years old, she is still a big, goofy puppy at heart! Ellie is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and energetic. She loves being around people and gets along wonderfully with our other dog and our children—although she doesn’t always realize just how big she is! Unfortunately, Ellie does not do well with cats. We have had to keep her separated from our cats, and maintaining those boundaries has become increasingly difficult for our family. As much as it breaks our hearts to make this decision, we know that Ellie deserves a home where she can have the freedom, attention, and quality of life she deserves rather than spending too much time in her kennel. We are looking for a loving home for Ellie with someone who does not have cats and who can give her the time, attention, and exercise she needs to thrive. She would absolutely love a fenced yard where she can run and play.
