Shaquille O'Neal

My story

Meet Shaquille O’Neal, or Shaq, for short! At just 7 pounds, this two-year-old brown Chihuahua mix is approximately the same size as one of his namesake’s sneakers. But what Shaq lacks in height, he more than makes up for in personality! Shaq is an affectionate, happy-go-lucky little guy who has blossomed into an absolute sweetheart. When he first arrived at the county shelter, the experience was understandably terrifying for a dog his size. He was placed on the E-list for behavior, but we could see that fear, not bad behavior, was behind his reactions. So, we knew this tiny dude deserved a chance. Once Shaq realized he was safe, his true personality emerged. He is happy to be carried, walks nicely on leash, and loves playing with toys. And yes, he has that classic Chihuahua attitude we all know and love! He may be tiny, but Shaq has plenty of opinions, enthusiasm, and charm packed into his little body. Shaq enjoyed playing with the children in his finder’s home, and we think he may be happy to have canine friends, too. A meet-and-greet with any resident dogs would be the best way to make sure everyone is a good match. Shaq’s adoption fee is $250 and covers essential services including neutering, vaccinations, microchipping, and a complimentary wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital. Please call 602-971-1334 to schedule an appointment to meet Shaq. We’re also open for walk-ins Thursday through Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
