Macko

My story

FOR ADOPTION IN SOUTHERN ONTARIO: Short legs, big heart, and a little Corgi sass, Macko is ready to trade his foster home for a forever home. Macko is 1-year-old, 34lbs, an affectionate, sweet-natured boy who loves his people and being wherever they are. He is a little shy when meeting new friends, but give him a moment and a gentle approach, and he will soon be warming up to you. Like a true Corgi, Macko has opinions, a mind of his own, and a talent for keeping life entertaining! His leash manners are pretty good, although he can be a bit stubborn on walks (sometimes those little legs need a coffee break), but he is a good boy overall. Macko at a glance: 🏡 House-trained and well-mannered indoors. Healthy, neutered, microchipped, and up to date with all vaccines 🛋️ Professional couch potato with occasional backyard zoomies that would put a race car to shame! 🚶 Loves his walks and expresses his excitement every time the leash comes out 💤 Sleeps beautifully at night, preferably close to his favourite humans 🐶 Thrives around other friendly mellow dogs 🐱 Has met a cat and was perfectly fine! 🔊 Not much of a barker, but gets startled by loud noises 🦴 Has a bit of a chewing hobby, so pillows and couch corners should not be left unattended! Macko needs a patient, loving family who understands that confidence takes time. This includes a friendly, confident dog with a similar energy level. He would be well-suited to slightly older, dog-savvy children. Adopting Macko means having a little shadow who adores his people, makes you laugh with his zoomies, and reminds you daily that good things come in low-to-the-ground packages!
