QUICK FACTS Name: Noah Age: 6 years old (Born January 2020) Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Terrier mix Color: Brown & White Weight:  8.8kg / 19lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from a heartbreaking situation where I had been living in neglect. Sadly, another dog at the same location had passed away, and it was clear that my living conditions were far from what any dog deserves. Thankfully, some kindhearted people became aware of my situation and stepped in to help, giving me a second chance at a happier life. Now I'm finally safe and receiving the care and attention I deserve! Although my past wasn't easy, I'm ready to leave those difficult days behind and look forward to a brighter future.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY I may be a little shy when we first meet, but I warm up quickly once I feel safe and comfortable! Sudden movements near my head can sometimes startle me, so I appreciate slow, calm approaches and a gentle touch. Once I've gotten to know you, my sweet and affectionate personality really shines through! I'll happily come over and gently tap you with my paw to ask for attention, sometimes letting out a little whine to make sure you notice me. It's my adorable way of saying, "Excuse me, I'd like some love, please!" I also have a big appetite and absolutely love food, which makes treats a wonderful way to win my heart and encourage me as I learn new things. I'm an eager little learner who enjoys exploring the world, especially when it means going on walks! And did I mention my adorable underbite? When my mouth is closed, I have one little tooth that sticks out, giving me the cutest, most unforgettable smile! I may need a gentle approach at first, but underneath my shy exterior is a loving, curious pup with so much personality waiting to shine!   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I seem to have a soft spot for men and tend to approach them more easily than women! I can be a little shy at first, but with a calm, gentle approach, I warm up and happily accept pets and treats. I have a cute habit of taking treats from your hand and moving a little distance away to enjoy them in peace. I also allow myself to be picked up and held. I'm a sweet, sensitive pup who just needs a little patience and kindness to feel comfortable and build trust! · With Dogs: I'm a friendly and playful pup who loves spending time with my doggy friends! I'm actually much less shy around other dogs and happily greet new friends, no matter their size. Playtime is one of my favourite activities, and I enjoy having canine companions to run around and have fun with! While I generally get along well with dogs of all sizes, I'm not afraid to stand my ground if another dog gets too pushy or rude. I enjoy making friends, but I also appreciate having my personal space respected! · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring, and having fun, but once I’ve had my activity and excitement, I’m more than happy to come inside and relax comfortably indoors.   TRAINING & HABITS I'm doing well with my leash manners! I may pull occasionally, but I generally follow my handler's lead nicely. I feel most comfortable walking in quieter areas, as busy streets and loud noises can sometimes startle me. With gentle encouragement and positive experiences, I'm hoping to become more confident on my walks. I'm also a good girl when it comes to mealtime and don't show any food guarding behaviours around people or other dogs. I rarely bark, although I might occasionally use my voice to ask for attention, especially when it's time to eat! As for potty habits, I'm comfortable going both outdoors and indoors on pee pads. I'm a sweet girl who's continuing to learn, and with a little patience and consistency, I'm sure I'll keep making progress!   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever • Understanding of my initial shy nature and willing to be patient while I come out of my shell   SPECIAL NOTES I'm an adorable, friendly girl with a sweet personality and so much love to give! I can be a little shy when we first meet, but all I need is some time and patience to feel comfortable and let my personality shine. And here's a little secret: food is definitely the way to my heart! I absolutely love tasty treats, and they're a wonderful way to help me feel more comfortable and build trust with new people. While I enjoy making friends, I do appreciate a slower, gentler approach when it comes to being touched or physically handled. Sudden movements can make me nervous, so giving me a little space and allowing me to get comfortable at my own pace means a lot. I'm a lovely little girl who just needs someone willing to understand my boundaries and give me the time I need.
