My story

QUICK FACTS  Name: Nora Age: 3 years old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Terrier mix Color: Brown & White Weight: 9.5kg / 20.9lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued in 2025 with chains wrapped around my neck and chest. When I was found, the lower part of my right hind leg, below the knee, was already missing. Life hasn’t always been easy, but I still have so much warmth and affection to share. Now, I’m hoping to find a loving family and discover the joy of growing close to someone, one little step at a time. I may be a little cautious at first. But if you give me time to feel safe, I’ll gradually show you all the lovely little sides of my personality.   A LITTLE ABOUT MY HEALTH The lower part of my right hind leg, below the knee, is missing. I walk with a slight limp, but I manage my everyday activities well. Long walks can tire me out, so please walk gently at my pace and let me rest when I need to. I love exploring the world at a comfortable, unhurried pace. During kennel transport, I sometimes develop sores at the end of my right hind leg. My caregivers say that previous sores have healed quickly with cleaning and antibiotic ointment. I would appreciate a little extra care and attention to this area when we travel.    MY PERSONALITY  I can be a little shy when we first meet, but it doesn’t take me too long to warm up. A gentle approach and a few tasty treats can help me feel comfortable enough to open my heart. I’m a calm, gentle girl with lovely manners. Around other dogs, I’m considerate and tend to go along with my friends. I may not be the first to rush over to greet you, but I have my own quiet way of showing love. Once I feel comfortable, I’ll come closer and share my sweet, affectionate side. And have you noticed my face? People say my markings make me look as though I’m wearing a little pair of glasses. It’s one of my special charms! Please give me a little time to come to you on my own. Behind that shy first hello, there’s a loving girl waiting for you to get to know her.    MY SOCIAL SKILLS  • With People I may be a little shy at first, but I happily accept treats. I soon relax and welcome gentle petting, too. I’m not afraid of men. You can also pick me up and hold me with an arm supporting my body from underneath my belly. I haven’t met children under 13 yet, so we don’t know how comfortable I would feel around younger children. • With Dogs I’m friendly toward dogs of all sizes. I sometimes approach new dogs to say hello, though I’m more likely to enjoy their company calmly than join in energetic play. I’m gentle, polite, and happy to adapt to my doggy friends. • With Cats My reaction to cats hasn’t been observed yet.   MY FAVORITE BALANCE OF ACTIVITY AND REST I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, and afterward, I’m happy to settle down and rest quietly at home. Long walks can be tiring because of my right hind leg, so please follow my pace. With little breaks along the way, I can enjoy our outings more comfortably.   MY EVERYDAY HABITS I have plenty of walking experience and follow my handler well without pulling on the leash. I’d love for us to enjoy walks that feel comfortable for me, without pushing me to walk too far. I don’t guard food from people or other dogs. I rarely bark, and I’m a calm girl who enjoys a peaceful daily routine. I toilet both indoors and outdoors. In a new home, I’ll need a little time to learn where to go and how our days will unfold. A consistent routine and gentle guidance will help me settle in.   THE FAMILY I’M HOPING TO FIND I’m looking for a loving family who will patiently give me time to settle in and open my heart. • A calm, stable home where I can get comfortable at my own pace • A family who will notice my little steps forward and build trust with kindness • Someone who will walk at my pace and let me rest when I need to • A family who will carefully check my right hind leg, especially during kennel transport • Someone who will gently introduce me to my new routine and cherish me as family for life   A LITTLE NOTE TO MY FUTURE FAMILY I may move a little differently, but I still love exploring outdoors and getting to know kind people. When you match your steps to mine, I can enjoy our time together comfortably. During kennel transport, please keep an eye on the end of my right hind leg for any sores and help me stay comfortable throughout the journey. Once I open my heart, I’m the kind of girl who quietly comes closer to share my affection. We can take our time getting to know each other over a few tasty treats. There’s no need to rush—a gentle approach and a little patience mean so much to me. Are you hoping to find a calm, loving companion? With my sweet little “glasses” and a heart ready for love, I’m waiting for my family, too. Shall we take our time and get to know each other?   NORA'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2869168##
