Maximus

My story

🐾 Meet Maximus (Max)! His second chance at happiness starts with you! ❤️ Max was misunderstood, scared, and facing euthanasia when he was rescued through Maricopa County’s New Hope program. Today, he’s discovering the comfort of a real home—and showing everyone just how special he can be! At approximately 2 years old, Max is neutered, house-trained, and incredibly smart! This handsome German Shepherd learns commands in minutes, loves toys, chasing balls, sniffing out hidden treats, and being wherever his people are. He’s affectionate with his foster family’s children and has made friends with their female German Shepherd. Max walks beautifully on a leash without distractions, but he can react to some dogs and people on walks. He’s building confidence every day and needs an experienced German Shepherd owner who understands the value of patience, structure, consistent training, and mental and physical exercise. Beneath his uncertainty is a loyal, eager-to-please boy with so much potential. Max doesn’t need someone to be perfect—he needs someone willing to believe in him, earn his trust, and help him discover the wonderful life he deserves. In return, you may gain a devoted companion who will happily follow you wherever life leads! 🏡 Could you be Max’s hero? He needs a patient, committed family willing to let him blossom at his own pace. Meet-and-greets with potential adopters and their families are required. ❤️ Give Max the happy ending he deserves! Ready to meet him? Visit www.azpawsandclaws.com and complete an adoption interest application. 🐾 Rescue changes lives. Be the reason Max’s story has a happy ending!
