Malcolm has been an Investment Banker for the past 30 Years, with comprehensive executive experience in risk, finance and operations. He was last, the Managing Director and Head of Investment Operations for one of Canada’s largest Pension Funds. His responsibilities included strategic management of cost efficient and scalable operations, responsibility for continuous improvement and re-engineering, diligence on the largest hedge funds in the world and full responsibility for the firm’s crisis management and business continuity planning and execution.
Prior to this Malcolm was the COO and Business Planning Director for the Institutional Equity Department of one of Canada’s largest Investment Banks and prior to this, progressively senior roles in risk management, project management, re-engineering, continuous improvement and operational management. Prior to this Malcolm worked in the Office of a Foreign Auditor General and taught mathematics in his native country Guyana. Malcolm enjoys empowering new talent, thought leadership, setting challenging goals and objectives and celebration of achievements with his co-workers.
More recently, Malcolm is the Managing Partner of his Consulting Firm and is engaged in consultations with a high value Investment Manager in Ontario, which manages the pension assets of a number of pension plans.
Malcolm lives in Oakville Canada with his wife, two children, Milo, the family Chihuahua and Luther, the family cat. Malcolm enjoys family, networking, cycling, travelling, golfing and music. Malcolm has an MBA from Herriot Watt University, is a Fellow of the Canadian Bankers Association and a Certified Investment Manager.
