For one pet-loving family, a visit to their local PetSmart store started simply enough. They knew they wanted to adopt a kitten and were keeping their eyes open for the right one, but they didn’t expect to bring one home that day.
Then they met a tiny kitten who quickly captured the whole family’s heart.
Love at First Cuddle
It didn’t take long for the children to find plenty to love about their potential new best friend, Bella.
“We were looking, but I didn’t think we were going to pick one up today,” one parent shared. “We were definitely looking.”
Bella was a little selective about who she approached at first. According to one of the children, “She comes to Daddy.” But soon, the family was imagining all the ways she could become part of their everyday lives.
When asked what they were most excited about, one child had a simple answer: “So I can pet her.”
For the children, part of the magic will be getting to know Bella as she settles into her new home. They’re excited to play with her, cuddle with her and, as their parent pointed out, “watch her grow up.”

Bella will be joining a home where animals are already an important part of the family.
The family has a one-year-old dog, as well as a lizard and a fish. Adding a kitten means welcoming one more companion into a household that already understands just how special the bond with a pet can be.
“We’re a very pet-oriented family,” they said. “We’re very excited to add a kitty, and we love all the memories they bring and the adventures we can have with them.”
