As a grant maker, PetSmart Charities provides funding to qualified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations. We award grants to nonprofit veterinary clinics and community partners that then provide care directly to pets and the people who love them. At this time, PetSmart Charities does not offer individual grant programs.
Yes. Much of PetSmart Charities’ funding comes from generous PetSmart customers who choose to donate at checkout in stores. The majority of those funds are invested back into the communities where they are raised, helping pets and families in local areas across the country.
Because PetSmart Charities is a grant-making organization, we do not operate our own shelter or veterinary clinic. That means we do not have dogs to walk, cats to cuddle or pets in our direct care. So, while we do not have direct volunteer opportunities with us, we do know that all of our adoption partners would be grateful for volunteer support.
