Khouri:

When my Labrador Jett died of cancer at the age of 7 1/2 it was hard. Even though I had the company of my small dog Bobby who I love and adore, it was just too quiet.

About a month after we had to put Jett down my mom came home with a white puppy. He was fourteen pounds, underweight, and whoever had brought him in had made some mistakes on the paperwork. However, Khouri (formerly known as Snow Ball) was now part of our house.

I will not say it was an easy transition. Khouri was the most difficult puppy I had ever had and it was clear that he had probably never lived in a home.

Khouri started out as a shy, scared, and impulsive puppy that was constantly hyper. He would do things like nip at our heels, jump up and nip at my pant legs, and run around the house like crazy. He started out open access in the kitchen. Anywhere else he had to be on a leash. However, after lots of work and training he slowly started improving. He turned a year ago in August and in the little over a year we have had him, Khouri has made so much progress. He is now very social with other dogs, loves children (which he was formerly scared of) , and is working towards one day passing his CGC and doing Advanced Training. When we're not working on training or resting, I take Khouri to play frisbee and he runs around with his dog friends. He recently went to his first dog party and had a blast. Khouri is my best friend and I absolutely love him.
