My story
Another new student in our PAWS BEHIND BARS prison dog training program is SIRI! She is a 4 year old great pyrenees mix. We feel she was either a working farm dog or on her own for quite a while. Her coat was rough and her skin riddled with sores. She was standoffish at first and did not like any kind of kennel. We've had her for 3 months and slowly but surely, she started to come around. Last week, we sent her to prison. Nothing like an experience that immerses her with hundreds of people who want to pet her. She's doing very well and is actually thinking about really liking the attention. Her coat will take time to grow but the sores have healed. And with a couple more baths, her inmate will get out all the dirt. Siri is available for adoption and if you'd like more information about our process, please email adoptmebpr@aol.com
