  Want to meet Bear?  Come to our Adoption event this Sunday (2/13/22) from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.  The location is the PetSmart at 510 E. Market Street, Leesburg, VA 20176.   *Only LOVEPAWS pre-approved adopters will be able to take a dog home from the event.  Dog's attendance at the event is not guaranteed.  Text the event coordinator to confirm a particular dog's attendance on Sunday:  703-447-4766     ****If you are viewing this on   PetFinder   or other venues, please go to our website at www.lovepawspg.org to complete an application****   Meet Bear - A handsome possibly Shih Tzu/Poodle mix  (BREED IS GUESS) who weighs 20 pounds.  We DO NOT know Bear's exact breed mix.  He is NOT hypoallergenic.  Bear just arrived to Lovepaws on 2/5 and is in a foster home in Edgewater, MD.  While Bear is good with other dogs his size, he is more people motivated and would love to be the only dog in his forever home.  Bear has wonderful house manners and does not need to be crated.  Bear LOVES to go for daily walks, enjoys car rides and is up for any adventure as long as it involves his people:)   We do not know how Bear is with cats and we are not comfortable placing him in a home with cats.  If there are kids in Bear's forever home, they should be 10 years and up.  Bear will be a dog who requires grooming services every 6 to 8 weeks.  Please keep these costs in mind if you are interested in adopting Bear.  Bear is not suited to apartment/condo living.  Bear is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and heartworm negative.    The adoption fee for this dog is $375.00 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter.       ***Please note that our first step is submitting an application (it does not commit you in any way but allows us to discuss with you if you and the dog are a good fit).  In addition, an important step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check.
