Mozart von Morbach is a delightful, 2-year-old Shepherd/Dobie mix (our best guess). This sweet-faced boy with the cutest floppy ears is loving and affectionate with his people. He makes eye contact as soon as he meets you and then offers you his paw. Very eager to please, Mozart rubs against you to make even more contact. Settling in at a medium-energy level, he seems to be housetrained and is looking for an experienced owner to continue his training and guide him along his way. Mozart already knows a list of commands and is happy to show you, if you have some treats. He's a happy, curious boy on his walks and loves to explore as he meets other dogs well along the way. In his playgroups he's comfortable as he mingles a bit but tends to keep to himself. He seems to be more of a people dog and thrives on earning more petting. Mozart seeks a home with no small dogs or cats. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN Mozart von Morbach YOU MUST FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION ON OUR WEBSITE: www.sheprescue.org Application link: http://www.sheprescue.org/Application_to_Adopt_a_Dog%20Main.html Based on our experience, Westside's current thinking is to usually match first-time shepherd owners with a mix versus a purebred shepherd. Mixes are "softer" and somewhat more malleable. Exceptions can be made, however, for first-time adopters who show the confidence and leadership tendencies that purebreds will respect and respond to. Counselors have to use good judgment in assessing the attributes of the adopter, as well as of the dog. If you have doubts, get a second opinion from Robin or another experienced counselor.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Mozart von Morbach, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
