My story

Cali (also known as Tug Rope 7) is the sweetest girl and a total cuddle bug. She loves nothing more than curling up on the couch beside you and soaking up endless pets. Once she warms up, she shows her affectionate and gentle nature, and it’s easy to see what a loyal companion she’ll be.This smart girl already knows “sit” and will patiently “wait” until released to eat. She’s working on her “wait/stay” and getting better every day! Cali is very treat-motivated and eager to learn, which makes training fun and rewarding. She’s also extremely easy to handle—whether clipping on her harness, adjusting her leash, or even trimming her nails, she patiently allows her people to help.Cali is a dream on walks. She likes to stay right at your side and checks in with you often. If she gets excited to greet a person or another dog, she may pull a little, but she’s easy to redirect—especially if you have a treat handy! She has also done wonderfully in her foster’s small apartment without a backyard and has been great at settling in for the night.Cali has met other pups at BARCS and has proven to be social and playful. She’s even interacted with smaller dogs and did very well. Combined with her gentle personality, she’s sure to make a wonderful friend for both people and other dogs.Cali is affectionate, smart, and full of potential. She appears to be housetrained, thrives on routine, and will happily keep learning new tricks with her future family.Cali is currently in the comfort of a foster home.
