In search of an exotic pet? How about a Monkey?? Ok, fine- he’s really a dog, but he’s just as fun as a whole barrel of monkeys!! Monkey spent several months in a foster home where he did well with another resident dog, was housetrained, and was described as a cuddly couch potato. He loves stuffed animals and Kongs and enjoyed sleeping near his foster people at night. Here`s what some of the Monkey keepers at the shelter had to say:“Monkey was easy to leash and we went to a yard with his kennel mate, where he approached for lots of affection. He is a very loving boy who considers himself a lap dog. He sat perfectly for treats, took them nicely from my hand, and was very friendly and respectful of his male kennel mate of similar size. Monkey will make a great dog for an active family, he`s so sweet. Return to kennel was easy.”“Monkey LOVES squeaky toys, but he doesn’t chew them up. He just really enjoys getting all the squeaks out of them. He’s a really friendly guy and likes to make new friends. He is eager to please and he’s a great cuddler.”“Monkey was very easy to leash and quickly settled into his lake walk. He takes treats gently and did not press for them.”Monkey also participated in a public dog walk and got a rave review:“Monkey is a very good pup, no barking and little reaction when other dogs passed. Friendly and A+ manners. Likes sniffs! Monkeys’ ears flap like a bird when walking, very cute.”Monkey would like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to make sure it`s a good fit. Ask to meet Monkey today!!
