My story

Meet Pookey. This 4 year old boy joined the NorCal family when his adopted Mom passed away and his adopted Dad went into Assisted Living. Pookey is a sweet, affectionate, friendly boy. He would love to be on your lap or roaming around your backyard. Pookey definitely needs a secure, fenced yard and a home where someone is home with him the majority of the time. He would not do well in an apt. or condo. Pookey's foster mom was asked to write a profile for him. Here is what she had to say: "Pookey has been ao delightful guest. He is house trained and he loves his food, in true cocker style. He easily attaches to his human. Pookey can be a couch potato, but he loves a brisk walk in parks or in our neighborhood. Pookey loves car rides. He reacts to other dogs on leash, but he is quickly distracted. Pookey needs to be in an only dog home. He does well with older, dog-savvy children. He has a soft mouth and never grabs treats. Pookey simply has a great big, loving personality." Pookey has been to the Vet and has a clean bill or health. He recently had cataract surgery and is excited about seeing his world through new eyes.
