Allie

My story

In the shelter environment, Allie initially passed evaluations but then became fearful and reactive. She is now a Beauties dog and is in boarding looking for a foster or forever home. This sweet lab mix is extremely smart! Allie learns new tricks very quickly with the help of treats. She already knows sit, lay down, shake on either paw, speaks on command and is learning stay. We recently learned she can climb up on playground equipment. She walks on her leash pretty well and we've worked on her pulling to where she's not walking her handler anymore. Allie is a pack animal and will love her future family to the fullest! However, she has some stranger danger but after only meeting her a few times, she remembers you instantly! She will need an understanding family. Going slow seems to work best for her. Allie does have a small barrier issue and can be a bit protective of her food if she doesn't know you. If you keep her in a kennel, just open the gate and she will come out on her own. I hope by next year, we find her family!
