My story

This artsy guy rocks his own unique style—complete with perfect eyeliner that highlights his soulful brown eyes and splashes of color that look like he painted them himself. A one-of-a-kind masterpiece, Fitz prefers to take his time getting to know you, but once he’s bonded, he’s all in. Don’t be surprised if he lays his head in your lap and rolls over like he’s ready to be painted like one of Leo’s French girls. Fitz is an ideal hiking buddy, connecting with nature to find inspiration for his imaginary gallery. He also enjoys car rides where he can admire the scenery and reflect on his next great idea. After a day of outdoor exploration, he’s perfectly content to relax with his favorite humans. Zoomies in the yard? Also part of the creative process. Like many famous artists, Fitz has his quirks. He loves children—but chickens? Not so much. And as any great artist would insist, he demands to be your one and only—no other dogs, please. Fitz is loyal, affectionate, and full of personality. He may not actually paint your portrait, but he does know “sit,” and that’s close enough. Fitz was DNA tested with Wisdom Panel and found to be 75% American Staffordshire Terrier, 12.5% Golden Retriever, and 12.5% guard/hound breed group—a true blend of strength, charm, and heart.
