My story

It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! Rescue Mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old. NUGGET was saved by an independent rescuer. He was found in the sewer by an El Pollo Loco in Compton, California. The poor little guy was by himself and very malnourished. We were asked to help and now he is with our rescue. Meet NUGGET, a young feline who embodies a delightful blend of characteristics that make him a joy to be around. Independent yet loyal, NUGGET enjoys his own company but is always ready to show his affectionate, cuddly side. He's a gentle giant soul with a playful streak, keeping himself entertained with a keen sense of curiosity. His goofy antics are sure to keep you laughing, and his mellow demeanor brings a calming presence. NUGGET's bravery is admirable, though he can be a little shy at times. But once he warms up to you, you'll find a sweet, friendly companion in him. He's smart too, quickly figuring out things and makes games off anything he finds. His energy is infectious, making every day brighter. Adopting NUGGET means inviting a bundle of joy, laughter, and love into your life. His unique personality is sure to enrich any home with warmth and happiness. NUGGET is a DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / TUXEDO MIX. He is 3 years and 0 months old. He is good with cats and is non-reactive to dogs. He has never been around children. NUGGET is currently at our rescue in Hemet, California. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Go to Workinwhiskers.com (Click on ADOPT) 2. Fill Out Online Form 3. Submit Online Application 4. Someone Will Call / Text to Do Phone Interview 5. Will be notified of Approved Application 6. Home Visit (WILL BE SCHEDULED) 7. Official Meet and Greet with Kitty 8. Sign Adoption Contract 9. Pay Adoption Fee (VENMO - ZELLE - PAYPAL or CASH) 10. Take the Kitty Home ********* MAY CONSIDER OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS NEAR CALIFORNIA BUT BE AWARE THAT WE WILL NOT SHIP. ADOPTER WILL NEED TO PICK UP********** The cats/kittens at a foster/rescue home, we will accommodate as much as possible. But steps 1-6 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do the OFFICIAL MEET and GREETS. It is easier to do the meet and greets at the locations listed below: ****Please note we only have cats physically in MURRIETA and INDUSTY ONLY. Gas donations always appreciated! ************* Please no calls to the rescue. No one is available to take calls. ************ If the CAT/KITTEN is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets. Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption. We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. If we haven't reached out....be patient. NUGGET is ALREADY fully vetted. The adoption fee of $200 covers: Neuter FVRCP shots RABIES shot FELV/FIV test (Negative/Negative) Drontal Dewormer Stronghold Flea Control Microchip We are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescued cats/kittens.
