My story

My name may be Mesa, but I am a Texas gal. I’m Shepherd mix with a sleek, glossy black coat, white blaze on my chest & white tips to my tail & feet. At adoption events, I often get overlooked because I don’t make a lot of noise unless I am protecting your home…as in when the doorbell rings or a stranger enters. Otherwise, I am fairly chill, that is, once I trust you. I’m a bit shy at first, but once I relax around you, I’m all about belly & ear rubs & sweet talk. I also like to horde ALL of the home’s dog toys in a pile all around me (although I am good about sharing or playing tug with my friends). I could be your “one & only”, but would do best with a confident canine buddy to teach me the ropes.
