My story

Tasha von Tamm is a beautiful, 2-year-old German Shepherd on the smaller side. This is a big ask, but Tasha is a water girlie – she loves to play in kiddie pools or perhaps run on the beach, if that’s your thing. Sweet and affectionate with her people, she leans in for pets, and gives little kisses. She is housebroken and knows how to behave on her beloved walks, as long as she knows her boundaries and you have her attention. She would do best in an active home where some time could be devoted to more training – she’s very eager to learn and treat-motivated. Tasha is comfortable and friendly around other dogs, both on walks and off-leash in her playgroups; she meets dogs with a friendly demeanor and wagging tail, and happily plays if invited. Mixes are "softer" and somewhat more malleable. Exceptions can be made, however, for first-time adopters who show the confidence and leadership tendencies that purebreds will respect and respond to. Counselors have to use good judgment in assessing the attributes of the adopter, as well as of the dog. If you have doubts, get a second opinion from Robin or another experienced counselor.
