My story

This lovable furry munchkin is Luke!  He was rescued by a Virginia Beach resident working as a contractor in Jordan as part of his efforts to save some of the many, many street cats of Amman. As his time working there winds down, he’s desperately seeking loving permanent homes for them in the US - how cool would it be to add one of these babies to your family? Not everyone has a Jordanian cat, after all! Luke is the only survivor of a litter of kittens born prematurely at the vet’s office. He is fortunate to be fostered by the rescuer who brought his mother in for treatment.  As an only “child” he is definitely spoiled and used to getting all of the attention he wants! He also has enough energy for two cats! He enjoys chasing his toys around the apartment almost nonstop and running a little circuit around the rooms when he has the zoomies.  Little Luke is just as affectionate as he is energetic and loves to cuddle with his foster on the couch where he will purr contentedly while nuzzling under his foster’s chin.  He will meow, chirp, and trill to be picked up so that he can get his ears rubbed too! He also likes to “help” his foster change the litter and will patiently stand guard while that task is being completed to his exacting standards. Luke interacts very well with his other foster siblings but always tries to be a tomcat when he’s just a little guy.  He will wrestle with his older foster brothers and sisters who casually ignore him.  He is also very good with the younger cats and kittens because they have almost as much energy as he does.  Luke would be great as an only cat but with his energy level he would be best with a buddy the same age. He has never met children or dogs so homes with them may not be a good fit for him. Luke was born on 4/30/23 and he is up to date on all his vaccines, dewormed, flea/tick treated, microchipped and FIV/FeLV negative.
