My story

Looking for the perfect balance of playful and cuddly? Meet Gerona, an easygoing sweetheart with big hazel eyes, a soft coat, and one delightfully lopsided ear that gives her all the charm in the world.Gerona is wonderful with people of all ages, including young children, and she’s even made peace with the resident chicken in her foster home! She loves to go for walks, sniff around the neighborhood, and take in the world—but once she’s back inside, she transforms into a couch potato cuddlebug who just wants to be close to you. Her favorite place to nap? Curled up next to you with a paw gently resting on your arm, just to make sure you’re not going anywhere.She’s housetrained, crate-trained, and knows basic commands like “Sit” and “No.” Gerona walks politely on leash and enjoys exploring, though she may try to chase after a bunny or lizard now and then—nothing a little consistency can’t manage. She’s very trainable and food-motivated, and she’s already working on learning “Down.”Though she hasn’t lived with other dogs or cats in her current foster home, she had a kennel mate at PACC, and she would likely do well with another dog of similar size to play with. She’s still learning how to play but loves squeaky toys! Gerona does best when crated if left alone, so she’ll thrive in a home where someone is able to keep up her training. She’d make a wonderful family dog, and her gentle nature, adorable quirks (like that one upright ear!), and total love of car rides make her a joy to have around.Gerona is ready to be your most loyal companion, always close by, always ready to cuddle, and always watching the door in case her favorite person walks through.
