Jasmine is a sweet girl was in a foster home for quite some time and who would like to finally find her forever home. Jasmine has diabetes and hypothyroidism, as well as vision impairment (she underwent a recent enucleation), so is looking for a special family who will be committed to her care. She has some medical needs, but she is easygoing and cooperative, and she has a huge heart and so much love to share in return for her extra care! Here’s what we learned about Jasmine during her time in foster homes:- She is a quiet houseguest overall- She has done well with kids of various ages and as young as 4 - She did great with the resident dogs - She is housebroken- She enjoys Kong toys (and will de- stuff her stuffies)- She has fantastic leash manners “Jasmine likes to be in rooms where the humans are but does not need to be near them. She is incredibly friendly; does her initial smell test on strangers and then assumes they are now best friends. She sleeps a lot but LOVES going on her walks, has started to trot when walking with another dog and is not reactive when seeing other animals or humans. Her longest walk to date is just under a mile. We have a two-story home and she NEVER attempted to go up the stairs, so unsure if she has never been on stairs or if she is cautious due to her vision.”And here`s what volunteers at the shelter said:“Jasmine was easy to leash. She was a really good walker, sniffing a lot. She loves treats and she will take them gently. She likes to be petted and listens well. A very sweet and easy girl.”“I had Jasmine and her kennelmate in a play yard this morning. Although she occasionally bumped into things, Jasmine was very confident exploring the entire yard. She was a very tolerant, good girl and let me clean her eyes with a washcloth with no problems. She spent her time exploring the yard and intermittently checking in for pets. She’s an easygoing, friendly girl!”“I volunteered to take Jasmine to her eye specialist appointment. She rode in a crate in the car- she was a little unsure when the car started moving but she quickly laid down and rode quietly the whole way. When we got to the clinic, we had to wait a bit before her appointment, so I walked her around the parking lot. Jasmine was a little cautious, but I was amazed at how easily she got around without bumping into things. For the return trip, she tried to jump into my car the moment I opened the door an
