My story

We all know how we get that awww feeling when we see a beautiful young dog that desperately needs our help. Carmel was one of these dogs that deserved, due to her excellent temperament and all the love she'll bring to a family, to be rescued from a terrifying Texas shelter. Carmel is now happy in Colorado in a foster home while she awaits to find her forever home. Carmel is a beautiful 10 month old (or so), 40 pound Airedale Terrier / Welsh Terrier mix. She is extremely social and friendly, and has great, playful, young dog energy. Carmel has the perfect temperament to accompany her family just about everywhere a friendly dog is welcome. She would be an amazing outdoor activity buddy, or hiking partner. Our dream for this very loving pup is a forever Colorado home with a family that cherishes her for life. As Carmel becomes more and more comfortable in her forever home, she'll blossom and become a fuzzy ball of good-will that loves to please. The happier her family is with her behavior, the more Carmel will shine with her accomplishments. Farfel's would like to see our wonderful girl in a home that includes her in family time and activities (some lap-time with belly rubs would be perfect!) as well as taking that extra step to participate in positive reinforcement / force free virtual or in-person obedience classes. These classes successfully teach a smart and cooperative dog like Carmel the skills to accompany her family out into the world with excellent behavior. Farfel's Rescue is happy to provide a list of approved virtual and in-person force-free trainers in your area. Carmel appears to be a low or non-shedding girl (although we can't swear to it). Due to this, she will require a lifelong commitment to periodic grooming and excellent nutrition (5 star food and a daily salmon oil supplement are great protocols for longevity and coat care) to keep Carmel's hair healthy, cottony-soft and matte-free. Carmel has been fully vetted, vaccinated and spayed. These protocols support Farfel's commitment to adopting out only healthy dogs that won't contribute to the overpopulation crisis in the canine community. Applications are currently being accepted for this sweet and loving best friend and can be found at http://farfels.com/farfels-res. cue/adoption-form/. If interested, please fill out completely and submit. **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting Carmel please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application found at the link above or at farfels.com.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Carmel, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
