Hey there, I’m Camper! I may have been abandoned once before (tied to a bench outside of the shelter), but those days are far behind me—I’m all about fun, cuddles, and enjoying the good things in life now! Whether it's playing with toys (I really LOVE stuffed toys), going on short walks (I also ride well in a dog stroller if you want to go on longer walks), or just lounging around in the sun, I’m living my best life. Oh, and I found out that I like road trips! Who knew that you are never too old to get out and see the world. Check out all of my fun posts on Facebook (Behind the Scenes at Frosted Faces Foundation) to see how I did my adventure to Nebraska! And most recently, I went on a two-week Frosted Fling, and while I'm not the type to brag, my Fling Mom said I was a very good boy. So good that she decided to become my Foster Mom! (You can read Camper's Foster Mom's report below.) If you have ever stopped by Frosted Faces Foundation for a visit, you most likely have seen me; I am that adorable big guy with the incredible smile that’s been living in the lobby for a while now (almost a year). The lobby is reserved for the chillest of the chill, and that is me in a nutshell…I get along great with other dogs (big and small), I love all people (kids and adults alike), and I let people dress me up in fun costumes when they feel the need to. I’ve had some tough times, but I’m healed, happy, and ready to share all my love with a human who will be my best friend. I’m not high-maintenance—I’m perfectly content with a short walk and a good nap in a sunny spot. I’m house-trained, ride well in cars, and love to curl up on the sofa with a stuffie or two. While I am happy to hang around the house, I am also a four-legged friend that you can take out and about with you; I’m a very polite guest, whether we’re at a park, a winery, or a friend’s home. If you're looking for a loyal, low-key companion who’s ready to join you on all of life’s adventures (did you see that video of me riding on a paddleboard?), I think we’ll be a perfect match! Just be ready for lots of cuddles and tail wags in return for your love. Please email my friends at placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org to schedule a time to meet me! Notes from Camper's Foster Mom: "Run, don’t walk, to meet Camper! He has been waiting over a year for his family which is insanely too long for this sweet boy! He deserves all the love, and he will love you hard in return. Due to arthritis, Camper's ideal home would have limited stairs and easy access to a yard. Camper loves going on adventures and will jump up when he sees the leash. He can move pretty fast when he’s excited, and he can even go up the little stairs I have to get in my SUV (with some help). Otherwise, he moves pretty slowly. Camper loves his person and will just snooze the day away near you but will also snooze the day away if you are not home. In the evening he will search for toys and ask you to play. He is a great eater and easily takes his meds with some cream cheese. Camper is house-trained but needs easy and frequent access outside. He wears belly bands inside for when you miss his cue, or you are not home. He sleeps through the night. Overall, Camper is quiet. He barks when he is playing with his toys, wants a bit of attention, or if he thinks it’s a meal time, He really is such a sweet boy who deserves a family to call his own."
