Capri

My story

Capri was the puppy of a stray mama dog that lived at a home in Crosbyton, Texas. The homeowner didn't claim the mama but he fed her. She had many litters before we were able to convince him to let us trap her. When we trapped Capri's Mom, we tried to trap her also but were unsuccessful. The City of Crosbyton finally were able to catch Capri and she and her litter of puppies were taken to the city pound. We pulled Capri and her pups into our rescue and were fortunate to be able to send her puppies to another out-of-state rescue. Capri however is incredibly shy and was being treated for tick borne illness and couldn't go out-of-state. We have worked hard to gain her trust and she has really tamed up but she has a long way to go. Capri is looking for a home with a quiet atmosphere, with someone who has experience with dogs like Capri. She needs a patient and gentle person to help her adjust to being handled and loved. She also needs a home with a tall, sturdy, fenced yard as she can climb a chainlink fence easily.  ##2043418##
