My story

SPECIAL POST for a SPECIAL GIRL Sweet, sweet Tangier, originally came from a high kill shelter and was adopted 3 years ago. The family has decided their home is too busy for her and their life has changed in a way they do not feel they are able to give her the time and attention she reserves.  Tangier is a spayed female Staffordshire/American Pitbull terrier mix, this sweet "Staffie" is 6 1/2 years old and weighs 63 pounds. She is black with beautiful white markings on her face, chest and paws. She is crate and house trained and very well behaved in the house. She can be trusted to have free roam of the house while her family is away. Her crate remains open because she loves to rest in it as her special den. Tangier is ready to hang out for a good nap on the couch near her favorite people. She doesn’t need a lot of exercise but LOVES a fun walk or car ride. Her family reports that she has never so much as ripped up a toy and is very well behaved. She greets people gently and if you’re approved may present her rump for a scratch. She is not a needy dog, just more of a quiet companion.  Tangier is gentle and sweet with other dogs, loves her toys and sleeping in her fluffy bed.
