My story

Meet Cedar! Cedar entered the San Diego Humane Society-Gaines Street Campus as a stray, and when she wasn't claimed, we scooped her up to become a Frosted Face. Cedar has now been returned to us two times over the past 2 years, once for separation anxiety and now for being defensive around a new young toddler. They were both lovely families who did their best and have other dogs of ours, but Cedar was just not a match. Maybe you are? Cedar is sweet, friendly, and allegedly 14 years old but can hike for miles, FAST! She rides in the car quietly and takes treats gently, too. Cedar would love a home with someone who is home often or can take her along most of the time. Life is too short! Spend it with her. She would love some walks but is also a champion snuggler. She's retired and would prefer no babies or really young kids. She deserves to be your special baby! Cedar generally interacts well with other dogs and has gotten along with the dogs in her two Fling homes. She prefers to not to have her face approached closely and will bark or grumble to let dogs know, politely but firmly, to please back up. Cedar lived nicely with cats in her Fling homes, too! Cedar is a young-at-heart, playful, and loving dog who will thrive in a home that provides her with attention, exercise, and care.
