My story

IDGSR Welcomes HARLEY into the safety of the rescue!! THIS DOG IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE & AVAILABLE FOR TRANSPORT ************** Hey Y'all! My name is Harley and I'm a sweet 7yr old female German Shepherd. I am located in Greeneville TN and am available for transport! I was adopted from IDGSR back in 2017 when I was just a puppy and had lived with the same family the entire time. Due to life changes, the family brought me back to the rescue. The rescue is committed to finding me a forever home! Here are some fun facts about me & my ideal home! 1. I'm sweet, low energy, loving, gentle, and friendly - I'm basically perfect! 2. I absolutely LOVE to swim! Check out my video of me swimming and the pictures of me on a boat. I hope you'll take me swimming when you adopt me. 3. I am KID FRIENDLY! I have been around kids ages newborn, 2 & 6yrs old. I am gentle and patient with them. Remember, it is best to teach kids the proper way to be around a dog even tho I am kid friendly. 4. My ideal home would be with a loving person or family, a home with *no* cats or small dogs. I would do just fine as an only dog or with a large male dog. 5. I'm a senior gal and know several commands. I know 'come', 'down', 'sit', 'shake', and I can walk on a leash! 6. Even tho I know several commands, it would be nice to have an obedience refresher. It will also help us bond together. 7. I am house & crate trained. I haven't been in a crate since I was a puppy. 8. If you are looking for a loving companion, one who will help keep you active yet relaxed, be your best friend, and most loyal bestie - I'm your girl! THIS DOG IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE & AVAILABLE FOR TRANSPORT ************** ***IMPORTANT ADOPTION INFORMATION*** -ALL dogs are fostered in TENNESSEE unless otherwise noted -We do transport dogs to the east coast; a transport fee will apply -All dogs are up-to-date on vaccinations, heart-worm testing, monthly preventatives, & are spayed or neutered -Puppies under 6-months of age will require a SPAY/NEUTER CONTRACT, a portion of the adoption fee will be refunded upon documentation of the spay/neuter -An application must be submitted before scheduling an appointment to meet a dog -Dogs are introduced to prospective adopters BY APPOINTMENT ONLY -Due to the high volume of emails we receive, first priority will be given to those with submitted applications -All rescue work is done by dedicated volunteers, please be respectful of their time -Not able to adopt?
