Meet Carter! 🐾 3-Year-Old Silver Lab/Hound Mix 📍 Heal Animal Rescue Carter’s journey hasn’t been easy. Rescued from a hoarding situation where he lived with 15 other dogs, Carter is now learning what it means to be truly seen and loved. He’s a gentle soul with a quiet strength, and while he may not rush up to greet you with tail wags and kisses during a meet and greet, that doesn’t mean he doesn’t care—he just needs a little time. Like many hounds, Carter prefers to take in his surroundings first before taking the time to meet new friends. Once he has exploring checked off his to do list, you'll start to see his affectionate, playful and loyal side shine through. He’s great with other dogs and would likely enjoy a home with a canine friend who can help show him the ropes. Carter is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped. He also walks great on a leash! What he’s missing is a patient, loving family willing to let him blossom in his own time. If you're looking for a sweet, soulful companion who may not be a bubbly social butterfly type, Carter could be the one for you. 💛
