My story

All interested people should submit an adoption application as their first step. sweet cuddle bug!Hi, I'm Olaf, and I like warm hugs! Well, my name is actually Rooney, but I still like warm hugs!  How can a dog give hugs, you might ask? Well, I jump up to put my paws on my humans legs and then affectionately lick their faces. It's important to me to make sure everyone knows that I love them because I know what it's like not to be loved. You see, just a few short months ago I was on the streets without anyone to love me. Luckily, I ended up in a shelter with people who cared about me. It was such a relief to have people pay attention to me and not have to worry about where my next meal was coming from. Then, in a second stroke of good luck, some very kind people from a rescue group pulled me out of the shelter. I got to live in a home with a nice comfy bed and lots of toys! I was given lots of snuggles and kisses, and it made me feel so content. I hope to continue that feeling by giving hugs and kisses to everyone I meet! Now that you know that I love giving hugs, here are some other things you should know about me: I am good with other dogs, love going on walks, and spending time with my humans is my top priority. I'm approximately 9 months old and currently about 35 pounds. Like most pups my age, I would benefit from going to school and learning basic obedience. I am food-motivated and ready to learn! Hope to give you hugs soon! Puppy Kisses, Rooney  All pets adopted from GDHS are spayed or neutered, have vaccinations brought up to date, are on heartworm preventative (dogs), FIV/FELV tested (cats) and microchipped.
