My story

Raya's story in her own words!  My name is Raya, and I may be a bit shy at first, but I have a heart of gold waiting to find my forever home. I'm still learning to trust humans and while I prefer to keep my distance, I don't mind a gentle pet now and then. My favorite things in the world are Churu treats and playing with wand toys — I'm a skilled toy hunter if I do say so myself!  My superpower is patience; I rarely get flustered even when my energetic daughter Chiquita is causing chaos around me. I'm a calm presence in the midst of all the action. One of my foster's favorite memories of me is how I would stand up to receive a Churu treat, thinking I was being sneaky by not fully exposing myself from behind the sink. I've been living with my daughter Chiquita, and while I'm not sure if we're truly bonded, we do get along well and make good companions. Right now, I prefer a quiet household where I can continue to build my confidence at my own pace. I'm not quite ready for children or other animals in the home, but who knows what the future holds for me?
