My story

Melbourne has been spending time in foster care! Melbourne is what the shelter called me but my Foster Mom says I look like a bandit because of my “mask”. She calls me Zorro because apparently I’m really just a stealer of hearts! I LOVE to snuggle! If you will let me up into your lap I will love you till you make me get up. You didn’t know I was a lap dog? Of course I am! Just give me a chance and I’ll make myself fit you’ll see! I’m not much of a kisses kinda boy so if you get some out of me you’re special! I love it outside and I am more than happy to race around the back yard sniffing and trying to find the animals I smell out there. I just know that crazy cat from next door keeps coming into the yard I just can’t ever see him do it! I really love it when Mom calls me in from the back yard and she claps her hands and I run as fast as I can into the garage! I’m a very smart boy Mom says, but she tells me I’m not very patient. I do Iike to put my paw on you when I think you’re taking too long to do what I want or need. What can I say? I guess she’s probably right about the patience. Mom says I am a smart boy because I already know how to sit and shake! I am also working on lay down and spin! Mom told someone the other day we are all crate trained….whatever that means?! I am more than happy to get into my crate when she leaves the house and she says I am a good boy because I still have the same bed she got me when I came here from that crazy shelter with my sister. My sister de-fluffed her bed in a hurry, but don’t tell mom I told you! I love other dogs but I do not like to share my toys with them! Sharing my toys is a deal breaker for this guy! I would tell you about sharing my food but Mom doesn’t make anybody share! We all get our own dinner and she serves it up hot and fresh to each of our crates! She tells me I am a spoiled boy because we all get to go to sleep in the big bed and snuggle. I’m not sure what spoiled means but if I get to keep snuggling in the big bed I think I like it! Do you want to be my forever snuggle buddy? —Melbourne AKA Zorro Bandit Meet Melbourne! Melbourne is a delightful, playful pup with a ton of personality! She knows how to sit like a pro and loves showing off her skills-especially when there's a toy around! Whether she's carrying her toys or playing in the yard, her silly and fun-loving nature shines through. Melbourne walks nicely on a leash, making her a great companion for strolls. She's got medium energy, so while she loves to play, she's just as happy hanging out and interacting with you. She's excited in her kennel and in the play yard, and she absolutely adores being with people and other pups! If you're looking for a fun and affectionate fur friend who's always ready for some playtime, Melbourne is the girl for you! On 10/22/24 Melbourne attended playgroup. He was high energy and initially seemed friendly and social. He was often hormone driven and did not listen to corrections from handlers or other dogs. Eventually he attacked after an appropriate correction. He was taken back inside and was reported to be fence fighting the walk back.
