My story

Meisha is currently in foster care and thriving! This independent girl has grown into a certified velcro hippo. If you're looking for a new friend to nap on the sofa with you, Meisha is your girl! Silly noises and snoring included. She has proven to be an A+ snugglebug but does well when left alone and is perfectly content doing her own thing. Meisha can be playful at times but is generally pretty low energy while in the house. She is re-learning how to dog after her time on the streets but has proven to be a gentle, tolerant lady. She allows all manner of petting, belly rubs (her favorite) and blanket swaddling but hasn't quite grasped the concept of "personal space." She recently met her foster's 8 year old nephew and did great! Miesha picked up "sit" relatively quickly and is excited to learn all the other doggy skills as she continues her education. She is housetrained and has done well left alone at home. Meisha is still a little nervous when outside on a leash so tends to be hyper alert and can pull on walks. While it might take some time to feel confident on a leash and learn to check in with her person, she has already started to improve with her fosters!
