Meet Frederick King! We think he may be a German Shepherd/Black Mouth Cur mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! Watch Frederick’s video here: https://youtu.be/w8JBIMrYLiE?si=vA-gr7dbCOjoWgFa The very first things you’ll notice about this handsome boy are his amazing ears and soft liquid eyes. This personable pup knows how to use his expressive eyes to full advantage. We love his soft brown coat with wispy white accents on the top of his head, at his chin, chest, and feet. The white at his chest is the perfect roadmap for chest scratches, which leads to belly rubs (our personal favourite). Frederick loves all the attention and affection you can give him - he is happy just to make YOU happy! (You will find yourself giving him extra treats, just because he's such a good boy.) But you won’t realize how amazing Frederick is until you’ve been around him. It takes Frederick a little while to open up to new people and new dogs— just like we do sometimes! Once you meet him, you will just fall deeper in love with his gentle and loving personality. This calm and mellow fellow will snuggle quietly by your side (or in your lap), happy just to be next to you and part of your family pack. We love how affectionate and loving Frederick is - it won’t take you long to see that he is quite the charmer! The funniest thing about him is his little airplane ears. They are always moving to wherever that silly noise is coming from, or they are directly pinned back and ready for take off. Freddy is incredibly graceful and almost delicate in his movements, and you will delight in watching him gently investigate each toy before playing with it with his whole heart. He loves to eat, play, snuggle, and nap, then repeat - it’s the best! He is a rockstar on a leash, and he currently goes on multiple pack walks a day with his siblings with no issues! He is such a little champ, checking in with his handler and making sure he’s got your stamp of approval. Frederick is currently in a loving foster home with several other dogs and gets along well with all of them. After being there for a while, he realized everyone he meets is a friend and someone to celebrate. And let the zoomies commence! This guy will absolutely run circles around everyone— so a big yard to get that energy out is a must. We really think Frederick King is quite the star - and he is ready to be the star of your show too. Apply to adopt this royal pup today! You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW or the NE at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 6 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $74 surcharge for transport.
