My story

From Temp foster: Sweet Tee What a handsome fella!! Sweet Tee is exuberant and has such zest for his newfound, safe life. While he can go through stuffed dog toys within minutes, he'll pause and give you the most hilarious look with stuffing hanging out of his mouth, so proud. He will give you endless laughs with his goofy, playful nature. He enjoys striking a pose after gingerly climbing onto chairs that he juuuust barely fits on. He loves chew toys, kongs, snuffle mats, balls, swinging around ropes. Outside he does his business, has a zoomie or two and a little sniff, then is ready to come back inside. Tee is smart and also food motivated, a winning recipe for successful training. He already knows sit, and we're working on leave it and heel when walking. And he's already house trained- no accidents with us thus far! He sleeps well in his crate, enjoys napping on the couch and a kids' trampoline (haha!). He prefers to be near you but does not need to be touching you at all times. We are working on crate training and helping him through his separation anxiety as he decompresses and learns that he is finally safe. He seems to prefer being left not in a crate than in a crate (will paw at the crate or bend the wire). Sweet Tee is very curious about young children but hasn't quite figured out how not to be a "bull in a china shop around them, so he'd do best in a home without small children at the moment. I suspect with adequate decompression and some training that he'll be able to get there. He is an extraordinary dog!
