My story

Yeti is a very special girl with a heart full of love. Estimated to be around 9 years old, she was found matted, dirty, and struggling to survive on the streets last winter. Thankfully, one of our dedicated volunteers was able to rescue her, and Yeti has spent the past 11 months in a foster home, gradually adjusting to life indoors.At first, Yeti was very scared, but even during those early months, she would purr if you sat next to her crate, showing her quiet desire for connection. Now, Yeti has blossomed into a loving house cat, and her transformation has been nothing short of remarkable. She’s discovered her love for being petted, and her purrs are absolutely contagious—she purrs like a maniac when she’s getting the attention she deserves!Yeti does well with other cats but would do best with a companion who matches her chill energy. She’s calm and laid-back, enjoying a quiet, peaceful environment. Therefore, CT Cat Connection has a policy that kittens ​and teenagers up to 12 months of age are adopted in pairs unless there is another animal in the household as a playmate and companion.Due to demand, we cannot place cats or kittens on hold. Your visit to the shelter is to meet any cat or kitten available for adoption at the time of visit.If you or anyone you know is interested in helping the shelter, we are always looking for foster families of our cats and dogs, as well as in-person volunteers, to assist with animal care.
