Meet Bucks ACCT-A-179804! This 20-year-old "Senior Kitizen" is worth every penny! Bucks came to ACCT as an owner surrender due to his owner's health. His previous owner described him as "calm, keeps to himself but will let you know when he's hungry," friendly toward strangers, but keeps his distance from children, and is calm around dogs and other cats. Bucks would do best in a home without children. Since arriving at ACCT, he's become a true "purrsonal" treasure among the staff. Now enjoying the luxury of an office space, he loves napping and receiving pets. You'll often find him lounging in his cat tree or lying by your feet, ready for some "pay-attention" time. Although he was initially a bit shy in his new surroundings, Bucks has "invested" in his comfort and now eagerly greets visitors at the door. Bucks is going into foster, where he’ll be getting his dental done at an offsite hospital on 11/21 and will stay in foster care to recover. While he recovers he will be dreaming of a loving furever home for Thanksgiving, where he can be your purr-fect dinner guest! Bucks would be so grateful to be the centerpiece of your family table this holiday season. Don’t let this sweet boy be the one that got away! This charming boy has a personality that's pure gold and a look worth a million bucks! With Bucks, you'll be rich in love and companionship-he's a priceless addition to any home. On 11/20, per his office foster: Bucks is such a stylish boy! He has come out of his shell so much. When he first arrived, he mainly stayed in the cat tree, lodging and sleeping there, but now he's out and about, enjoying naps on any empty chair (including yours, if you step away!) and greeting people at the door. He does the cutest thing where, if you're petting his head, he likes to hold onto your hand or sweater and purrs loudly while pacing in place. He's just a big baby! On 11/9, per his office fosters: We know it might be a little early for Christmas cheer, but Bucks couldn't wait to share his holiday wish! All he wants for Christmas is a warm, loving home. How can you not fall in love with this handsome guy? Bucks loves greeting new friends and soaking up all the pets he can get. Since joining the office, he's coming out of his shell and showing off his true purrsonality-and he's ready to spread holiday joy to his forever family! On 11/8 during Buck's exam he was noted to have Periodontal disease with several missing teeth. Heavy calculus and gingival recession associated with remaining dentition. His skin had mild diffuse dander, fleas seen at intake. Bucks is a neutered male in overweight body condition. Overall a Sweet guy! In house CBC/chem17/T4: GGT 10 U/L, T4 3.2 ug/dl- Mild GGT elevation - r/o incidental finding vs early hepatobiliary disease and Grey zone thyroid level. Overall, Bucks is in incredible condition for 20 years old. He will require a dental with extractions to maintain a good quality of life and should have his thyroid level and liver values rechecked in 3-6 months (sooner if clinical signs of hyperthyroidism develop). On 11/7 per his office fosters- Bucks is a sweetheart. He enjoys lounging around and will come up when he seeks pets and attention. When he first came to the office he spent most of his time sleeping in his cat tree but today he has come out completely and enjoyed greeting new people and exploring the office. On 11/3 during his initial intake exam Bucks eyes were noted to be slightly cloudy. Hi teeth had discoloration and there is heavy tartar on his back molars. When he came in he had live fleas which were treated. Overall bright, alert and responsive.
