🐾 Meet CaseyStray to Snugglebug - Looking for Her Big BreakCasey was found wandering by Rockaway Beach, alone but hopeful. Since arriving at ACC, this 2.5-year-old red-brown beauty has shown us what a big-hearted goofball she really is. We don't know much about her past, but her present is full of wiggly greetings, marshmallow-soft snuggles, and a serious love of enrichment time (licky mats are her jam).🏡 My Ideal HomeCasey is seeking a calm, adult-only home with an experienced adopter who understands big dogs with big feelings. She'll need a single-pet household and someone committed to daily mental and physical activity. If you're ready to channel her energy into something positive-like learning tricks or chasing toys in the backyard-she'll be your most loyal friend.👶 Good with Kids?Due to her jumpy behavior and lack of impulse control, Casey should not live with children under 13.🐕 Good with Other Dogs?No, thank you! Casey has shown reactivity toward other dogs, including barking and lunging in her kennel. She'll do best as the only pet and should avoid dog parks.🦮 Leash MannersCasey can pull hard on leash and is working on not jumping, leash biting, or overexcitement at walk time. She does great with treats and toys to redirect her focus and help her settle. A force-free, positive reinforcement approach will go a long way.🩺 Overall HealthCasey is spayed, fully vaccinated, and has been treated for a previous collar-related neck wound. She recovered beautifully from a post-spay complication with the help of our medical team and is now medically cleared for adoption.🧠 Behavior Determination: Level 3Casey is an active, social girl with a whole lot of love to give-but she needs structure, training, and patience. She's made huge strides with our staff and volunteers and thrives in one-on-one play sessions.
