Meet Indie – Your Adventure Buddy in Waiting- Age: 1 year old- Energy Level: High- Superpower: Puzzle Master ExtraordinaireIndie has been patiently waiting almost a year for her forever home—and we can’t believe she hasn’t been scooped up yet! This bright and beautiful girl is the total package: intelligent, affectionate, and always ready for her next great adventure.Originally found as a stray, Indie has blossomed during her time with us. She’s smart as a whip and thrives on mental stimulation—give her a puzzle toy or a stuffed animal scavenger hunt in the woods, and she’s in her element! She recently spent the afternoon with a volunteer and completely charmed her way through the day, from greeting friendly tree workers to exploring a new home like a curious little explorer.Indie loves to swim, hike, and play—so if you live an active lifestyle and are always on the go, she’ll be right there with you, tail wagging and ready to lead the way. Once the fun is over, though, she’s all about the cuddles and will happily melt into your lap for a cozy nap.She’s gotten more comfortable with car rides and now associates them with exciting outings and sweet escapes from the shelter. In a home setting, Indie did wonderfully: she had no accidents, adapted well to a potty routine, and crushed every food puzzle like the smarty-pants she is.Because she loves having her humans all to herself, Indie would thrive best as the only dog in the home. What she lacks in canine roommates, she more than makes up for with her huge heart, sharp mind, and zest for life.After almost a year of waiting, Indie is ready to trade shelter walls for a home filled with love, laughter, and adventure. We recommend submitting a general online adoption application and then heading to the shelter during our normal adoption hours (Mon: 12-4pm and Tues-Sun: 12-5pm) to meet our available animals.
