Giblet

My story

Giblet is a gentle, wise, and loyal senior dog who would enjoy relaxing by the fireplace and taking slow, leisurely walks. Giblet is pup with a heart full of love and a past that has left him longing for a hero. Giblet is now looking for a special person who will understand his quiet, gentle nature and give him the peaceful home he deserves. He may have a few more gray hairs than he used to, but his spirit is as strong as ever. he recently went on a Dog Day Out! `Have you ever wished you had a weighted blanket that would also give you kisses and nonstop heart eyes? Giblet is your boy! Pretty sure this adorable doofus thinks he’s a seatbelt. I took him for an overnight visit, and it was nonstop snuggles! He`s a total velcro dog who instantly thinks you’re the most important and interesting person he’s ever met. He’s super soft, and has the sweetest, biggest brown eyes that gaze at you with nothing but love and trust. Didn’t show much interest in toys (why, when there are people around to hug and kiss?) Enthusiastic walker, but was gentle on the leash for a boy his size. I’m 5’2 and had no problem walking him. He was super quiet throughout the visit. Not one bark. No accidents in the house (including overnight,) and stood at the back door with a meaningful look when he wanted to be let out. Definitely seems house-trained to me. Took treats gently, and was very respectful when I was eating without him. Responds well to “sit” and “down.” A bit reluctant to get in the car, but rode like a total champ once he was in! Never once tried to jump in the front with me, as velcro-y as he is. Someone adopt this lover and get your snuggle fix for life!`Giblet was found as a stray with another dog. He prefers female dogs over male dogs, so he would need to meet any female dogs. This sweet senior just needs a second chance to know what it feels like to be truly loved and cared for. If you’re looking for a quiet, soulful companion who will reward you with unwavering love, potential dog siblings prior to going home.He has been neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.His ADOPTION FEE IS WAIVED! We want all our dogs to have homes as quickly as possible. In an effort to help dogs with longer stays, those who are deteriorating in the shelter environment, or who are harder to place find homes more quickly, the adoption fee for this dog has been waived.
